Assessibility

It is very important to us that our site is accessible to every Internet user.

This site has been written in correct HTML (hypertext mark-up language) using W3C and RNIB guidelines to enable use of technology for blind and visually impaired people.

Changing the Page Style

On the top right hand side of the website there are four style choices, when clicked on they will change the page style according to the description below:

  • Text Only
    • This is a plain text version of the website. The color of the font is black and the hyper links are blue. The font size is larger than the "Graphical" version of the website. This version contains no graphics or photographs.
  • Graphical
    • This is the default version of the website. It is graphically, contains photographics and has an average font size.
  • Larger Text
    • This is the "Graphical" version of the website with larger text.
  • Yellow on Black Text
    • This is the "Graphical" version of the website with large yellow text on a black background.

Making the text larger in your web browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer:

  1. Open your Internet Explorer Web Browser.
  2. Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the marked View. A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose text size
  3. Next another drop down menu should appear with options including small, medium, large, largest.
  4. Select large.
  5. The text in your browser window should now appear larger. If this is still too small for you then it may be that you need to look at other ways of enlarging the text on your screen, such as Screen Magnification software

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open your Firefox Web Browser.
  2. Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the marked View. A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose text size
  3. Next another drop down menu should appear with options including increase, descrease and normal.
  4. Select increase.
  5. The text in your browser window should now appear larger. If this is still too small then repeat the above steps until the text is readable.
