Empowering Disabled Employees

Summary:

Disabled staff from a range of employers have told us the 2 things that hold their careers back are:

Other peoples attitudes and expectations, how work environments and systems are organised, and;

Their own self-confidence and sometimes the application of career relevant skills and aptitudes.

We work with disabled staff to manage barriers effectively and exploit opportunities at personal, team and organisational levels. We enable disabled employees to develop the confidence to achieve their goals and have aspirations that use their talents. Disabled people will often acquire key business relevant skills and qualities that when understood, developed and transferred can have a significant bearing on performance and realising potential.

Style/Approach:

Exercises and information that empower, enlighten and develop are delivered in a lively refreshing and fun way ensuring high levels of motivation and confidence are achieved and sustained in the workplace.

Content:

  • Pre-course self assessment workbook
  • Identify individual goals and plans for personal and career development
  • Develop your self-confidence through a greater understanding and appreciation of your abilities
  • Develop practical approaches for presenting and promoting the skills you have to offer
