Same sex care where reasonably possible

 

Following proposals for a raft of changes to the NHS Constitution for England, Health Secretary Victoria Atkins said it was about making it clear that "sex matters".  "We want to make it abundantly clear that if a patient wants same-sex care, they should have access to it wherever reasonably possible," she said.  Read more here.

Young people facing discrimination in the workplace

Research from the Youth Futures Foundation has found that almost half of young people from an ethnic minority background have experienced prejudice or discrimination when seeking to enter the workplace.
