'Uncompromising' French author wins Nobel Literature Prize

 

French writer Annie Ernaux has won the Nobel Prize in Literature, for what the panel said was an "uncompromising" 50-year body of work exploring "a life marked by great disparities regarding gender, language and class". Read more here.

 

 

Gender Bias in the Workplace: Women more than twice as likely to be asked to make tea or about their kids, than men

 

Research reveals gender biased language and stereotypes are widespread in the workplace, as almost half (46%) of UK employees use gender biased terms like 'guys' at work.  Read more here.

 

 

Bisexuality more visible but 'work to do' on safety

 

LGBT charity, Stonewall, which commissioned the study, said the findings told a "positive story" but said more needed to be done to help bisexual people feel safe. Read more here.
